Stella Maris is framed by the horizon and connected to place
Stella Maris is shaped by its elevated bayfront position and long-standing connection to place. Occupying a rare waterfront site, the project responds directly to the horizon, with views across the bay informing orientation, planning and form. Lead by the site’s history and identity, the architecture balances permanence with restraint. Carefully considered with generous setbacks, a calm presence is established along the shoreline, maintaining a strong connection to landscape and water.
Living at the Bay
Designed for longevity and adaptability, the masterplan supports a diverse mix of dwelling typologies within a cohesive architectural vision. A flexible planning framework allows the development to respond to change over time without compromising residential quality, while shared spaces and circulation extend the experience of living beyond the dwelling, creating moments of pause, connection and retreat throughout the building. Terraces, gardens and communal areas are positioned to capture light, breeze and views to the bay, balancing openness with privacy. The result is a residential environment attuned to the rhythms of coastal living.
Interiors Shaped by Ritual
Interiors are shaped around the rituals of everyday life and the importance of personal moments within the home. Flexible layouts support both gathering and retreat, allowing spaces to evolve naturally over time. Generous open-plan living areas accommodate gathering and retreat, while flexible layouts allow residents to shape their spaces over time. Living areas extend to private terraces, reinforcing a seamless indoor-outdoor connection to the waterfront setting. A restrained material palette of engineered oak, honed stone and timber veneers creates warmth and texture throughout, while carefully detailed joinery and fixtures prioritise longevity and comfort. Rather than prescribing a fixed aesthetic, the interiors provide a timeless framework for living. One that is refined, tactile and simple, allowing occupants to curate spaces unique to their own personality and how they live.
