Rothelowman celebrated the opening of its Sydney studio last week by welcoming friends and colleagues to the thoughtful new space located on Gadigal Land in Surry Hills.

As a space designed to enable meaningful connections and creative collaboration, it was only fitting to commemorate the Sydney studio opening with cocktails, canapes, and comedic relief from Tim Ross.

Although he may be best known for his work on TV and radio, comedian Tim Ross has always had a passion for architecture and design. As a natural entertainer, Tim did an exceptional job speaking to guests, sharing stories, and was a highlight of the special evening.

It has been a busy 12 months for Rothelowman – opening a new studio on the Gold Coast, refurbishing the Brisbane space, and settling into a new home in Sydney and Melbourne. As the future of work continues to evolve and adapt, so have the Rothelowman studios.

Each Rothelowman studio is hyper-local and tailored to place. Surry Hills was selected to be the location of the Sydney studio for its history of creative enterprise and making. Intended to inspire and re-energise employees, the design hub in Sydney is where you will find our teams sharing input, ideas, and perspectives.

With sustainability at the heart of everything we do, one prominent feature that stands out is the reception point, which is made reusing a concrete form-liner from a previous Rothelowman project.

Above all, the innovative, fresh, and agile team in Sydney is what makes the office truly unique. With a diverse range of experience and expertise across a range of sectors, the team looks forward to continuing to create meaningful architecture, interiors, and urban design that contribute to our cities, communities, and individuals.

“Most architects talk about buildings, but the best architects talk about people” – Tim Ross.
