North has begun the construction phase at their Indooroopilly apartment development Ethereal Residences, with the group commencing demolition works across the Swann Road site.

Designed in a cross studio collaboration between Rothelowman, Carr and Form Landscape Architects, Ethereal will deliver a collection of two and three-bedroom residences at 99 Swann Road, with the building terraced down the hillside to maximise outlook, orientation and privacy.

Curved elements have been utilised in the structure of the building, creating an organic and ethereal aesthetic, with the finely detailed facade paying homage to the area’s heritage character.

“For Ethereal Residences, we have brought together three highly respected design houses to create a concept worthy of its premium inner west location,” Ginnivan said.

With a focus on maximising natural light, cooling breezes, and cross-ventilation, each home offers a seamless connection to the surrounding environment, with the open plan layouts adjoining to spacious balconies that provide city views along with suburban views of Mount Barney and the Border Ranges.

“Here, large balconies provide a sense of generosity and space that feels more like a verandah on a house and enables the building to ‘breathe’.”

The king-size master retreats feature plush carpets, crafted joinery, and generously sized wardrobes, while the bathrooms offer both functionality and style, with concealed storage options, Astra Walker tapware, and spacious shower alcoves.

Crowning Ethereal will be a rooftop retreat, featuring alfresco dining amenities, a swimming pool and lush landscaping, encompassed by the panoramic views on offer.

Situated only 10 minutes from the Brisbane CBD, the development combines the convenience of inner-city living with a strong connection to nature.
