Having grown up in a family passionate about creating places, Marc draws inspiration from his childhood to drive his work as an architect and his ability to thoughtfully tell client stories.

“Ever since childhood, I have loved the process of making things and using my hands. I believe understanding, exploring, and testing the potential of material components and the opportunities that they provide is fundamental to good design.”

Marc’s passion for integrating story into place came to life when he worked on Perth’s iconic The Claremont Hotel as the design lead. “I used to go to the venue when I was in my 20’s and had a real connection to the place, as did a lot of people in Perth.”

“I felt a deep sense of obligation to reignite the identity of The Claremont Hotel for the next generation whilst providing a modern venue that truly services all ages.” 

To Marc, people are central to nearly every conversation surrounding design. Guided by a generous eye for life, he is constantly seeking ways to enrich the lives of users by ensuring the design process is executed with human experience in mind.
