The Rothelowman Professional Collective | Meet David
David has been fascinated by architecture for as long as he can remember, captivated by the challenge of creating beautiful living spaces that navigate both site-specific and regulatory constraints.
David views the architectural process as the
“passionate birth, growth, and maturing of a design concept that finds its ultimate purpose as the everyday space in the canvas of life.”
This perspective inspires him to incorporate a human-centric design approach in all his work, fostering continuous engagement between people and their built environments.
One of Rothelowman’s core design principles, a generous eye for life, mirrors David’s design methodology. He cites Burwood Brickworks as his favourite, most notable project so far in his time at the practice, appreciating the unique way it takes shape within the local context and draws on materiality and design to create a striking built form.
Beyond the architectural world, David finds balance and inspiration in the outdoors, cycling daily.
“I cycle every day and love the freedom of being outdoors whatever the weather. I am lucky enough to have just returned from visiting the Tour de France in 2024.”
Constantly looking through a human-centric design lens, his personal values find strong alignment with the work of the broader Rothelowman collective.
