Rothelowman is thrilled to announce it has joined forces with Perth powerhouse and close friend of the firm, Fratelle.

After a two-year partnership the firms have merged to combine unique capabilities and positively impact the WA market and beyond.

With an established relationship and an alignment of goals, values and level of client care, Rothelowman and Fratelle believe this is the natural evolution for both businesses.

The merger combines Fratelle’s deeply engrained local expertise and relevance with Rothelowman’s national scale and depth to bring a fresh and hyper-local approach to design that Western Australia hasn’t seen before.

Whilst the firms’ mutual capabilities lie in residential, retail, hospitality, commercial and mixed-use sectors, Fratelle brings expertise in aged care, specialist housing and heritage and has a deep understanding of what makes Perth a unique place to live and play, which will have an immediate impact on Rothelowman’s portfolio and service offering.

Kylee Schoonens will join the Rothelowman team as its 13th Principal after almost 13 years at the helm of Fratelle, which she founded in early 2010. With more than 20 years of experience working in WA, Kylee is a leading voice in the market, regularly published in notable industry journals and is a frequent media contributor and keynote speaker.

“We are excited to expand our national presence with a trusted and respected practice like Fratelle. Kylee and her team are the last piece of the puzzle for Rothelowman to achieve true nation-wide geographic, sector and service diversity,” says Rothelowman Managing Principal, Nigel Hobart.

“As Kylee steps into her role as Principal, she brings a fresh perspective and refined skillset to the Rothelowman leadership team that we haven’t had before.” shared Mr Hobart.

Motivated to deliver a significant and positive impact to Perth city skyline, Kylee believes the new structure will significantly boost her team’s ability to influence and shape WA while retaining the city’s character and livability.

“The Fratelle team is thrilled to become part of Rothelowman. It will significantly enhance our growth in WA and provide us with greater exposure to projects across the country. As part of an established team that has more than 30 years’ experience delivering large-scale complex projects across Australia, we have a very bright future ahead of us.”
