199 Toorak Road is the true invitation entrance to the Forest Hill precinct of South Yarra
At the heart of this design are two large external spaces; an open public “room” at ground floor; and a garden “room” overviewing the southern vistas. Together the spaces provide breathing spaces for occupants and the public alike.
The architectural form is predominantly designed with single subtle façade detail, whilst simple in nature the gently curving glass exudes elegance worthy of this prominent site& further echoes an invitational demarcation into Forest Hill.
The ground floor also extends the public realm with a heighted arcade retail strip ad dressing Toorak Road. The level of finish proposed for this public space is primarily focused on enhancing the already rich Toorak Road streetscape & continuing this around the Claremont Street frontage to rejuvenate all the interfaces.
