Show moreThe design of Thomas Street was inspired by the surrounding context; acknowledging the importance of providing high quality private open space to residents, and lifting the front garden beyond the ground plane. In approaching the design, we were cognisant of not only immediate context, but future context. In doing so the building has been designed to make a significant contribution to both Thomas Street to the north, while providing significant open space to the south.

A detailed analysis at the more micro scale reveals opportunities to enhance the objectives of the precinct planning and integrate the new development with the adjacent residential interfaces in a sophisticated and meaningful way.
