The unique landscaped context of the subject site allowed us to reconsider the idea of the student college.
The challenge with such large buildings is in the creation of place. We wanted to craft a building that belongs to this context. We wanted to create a place where the students are encouraged to explore, an evocative place to study and socialise. A place to dream, a place to create lasting memories. A place to belong.
We brought the landscape in and through our college and allowed the architecture to grow out of the land itself. We have finely tuned the ground plane to deliver a highly interactive and sociable place that embraces and interacts with the park while overhead a striking and innovative built form reaches toward the height plane.

What if we could conceive of the college as a treehouse, and create architecture that floats within the tree canopies.
