Promenade’s facade combines classic elegance with contemporary finesse. Inspired by modernist principles, clean lines imbue the form with a horizontal solidity that instils confidence. The upper-level residences are set back from the street, resting on a podium to create a sense of depth. Providing optimal privacy without compromising on natural light, chamfered edges have also been designed into the facade.

The material palette is monochromatic, textured and effortlessly sophisticated, juxtaposing dark steel with light slate cladding. The double-height colonnade drives a visual aesthetic that responds to the urban nature of Sandringham, while layered landscaping is designed to soften the form of the building while providing an outlook of greenery within the home.

Innately understated yet generously appointed, the open plan living space showcases a palette of grey marble, charcoal joinery, black steel and warm timber floors. Throughout, full-height windows draw in an abundance of natural light – illuminating finishes and warming spaces beautifully. They also frame views of the surrounding greenery, allowing it to become a feature within.

Working with the same development-driven constraints of many of its neighbour’s Promenade demonstrates that it is possible to design and deliver highly viable solutions that are contextual and relevant to the city’s evolution. Promenade makes a positive contribution to the public realm, whether that be to the city as a whole or upon its more immediate context.
