Cues taken from the abundance of flora in the vicinity of the subject site led to the evolution of the design response.

The organic geometry and sinuous curves of a leaf combine with the strength of the existing sites unique rhomboid shape, to establish the building form in a deliberate reference to the immediate locality. The fine detail of a leaf’s skeleton further defines the building aesthetic through texture and material at a micro-level and references the nearby urban grain at the other extreme.
