The Local Project – Dune

Insight
18.03.2025Rothelowman

A big thank you to The Local Project for the opportunity to share insights into our design approach at Rothelowman.

Associate Principal Lawson Royes reflects on the vision behind Dune by Andrew Project, explaining:

“We designed Dune with what we call a ‘generous eye for life’—celebrating the daily rituals of living. We aimed to capture the sensory experience of arriving at the beach, particularly the moment of ascending a dune and catching that first glimpse of the ocean. The design was carefully considered to complement, not compete with, the surrounding landscape—framing the natural beauty to enhance the overall experience.”

Dune prioritises the experience and needs of the people who will inhabit or interact with the space, resulting in a human-centric and aspirational environment.
